So, today we had a couple of local delicacies :D We had some 'satay celup', which is...dipping your food (on a stick) into the delicious sauce.
There are a huge variety of choices for you to choose, so you can go for the classic fishballs, or make it fancy by getting some quail eggs and scallops (like we did ;) hehe)
We also ate 'roti pisang', which is banana bread - Malaysian style!
You can dip your 'roti pisang' in the curry that is provided, which only makes it even more delicious.
These local delicacies can be found in street food stalls, which are opened by Indians, AKA 'mamak'. This is a very common Malaysian thing to do, where you and your friends will go to a 'memak', and order some food and drinks. The food and drinks that are ordered are usually consumed within minutes, and you will find yourselves sitting there, just chatting and gossiping about random things. :) And most likely ordering more food and drinks again, maybe even to share! This is a great opportunity to catch up with your friends, and even to bond with them. The foods are cheap and affordable, whilst being delicious. The foods tend to also portray the roots of Malaysia.
