Reunited :)

Soooo. I went back to Melaka for a week to stay with Evon! I went to Melaka to celebrate my grandmother's 81st birthday (my mother's side is from Melaka haha). So I managed to sort of convince my dad to let me stay with Evon for a week xD

Her cake was so delicious haha it was half chocolate, and half green tea with sesame and hazelnut. And it was SO pretty!!

Anyway. So, Evon and I soon started to get weird. (Go figure XD)

We attended her friend's 21st birthday party. Theme: Pink hello kitty (in case you didn't notice :P) Afterwards, we went out for some beer with a few of her seniors and just talked and chilled haha

She had a midterm on Monday, so after that, we went out with a bunch of her friends to dinner, and then to Starbucks (they had an offer that day) :D We just sat there and talked and chilled :P

It was my 20th birthday on Tuesday, so on Monday night at Starbucks, we bought two cakes home: red velvet and salted caramel butterscotch cheesecake (the second one was AMAZING) and she sung for me at midnight, and we watched 'Supergirl' and ate the cakes and had wine. She was super proud when we finally opened that bottle of wine haha!

The next day, we went to A Famosa for the water theme park. Unfortunately, it was closed on Tuesdays! So we went for this package deal thing, where for 25RM, we get to play archery, paintball and go-kart. It was actually quite fun! :P I mean, I was disappointed about the water theme park, but we had fun in the end. There was an area there where they had adorable decorations out in a field, so of course, we took a bunch of pictures and stupid videos :P

That night, Evon and her friends (Helena and Kit) took me out for dinner at Kensington. It was nice :D

They got me a delicious cake, and sung for me :)

Then after that, we went to have some shaved ice desserts hehe (Left: mango, right: mixed fruit with yogurt)

On Thursday, Megan took us to the Huskitory - a cafe with adorable huskies!!

We both took turns using the fluffy dog as a pillow XD

Umm.. We got really hungry one night and ordered pizza :P With chicken wings and chicken strips and cinnamon rolls. They were delicious! This box is actually meant for 4 people but we.. ate it all. :)

Cendol <3

Assam laksa <3

So on Friday, we went to Jonker street for food :D and a little shopping! Evon bought that adorable mint green tube top (and a few dresses ;) ) and I bought that blue and white striped dress (you can't really tell in this picture haha)

We also DIY-ed our own tank tops! The one on the left is the back, and the one on the right is the front :) We're both super proud of it!

Anyway. No matter how long I stay with Evon, it never seems enough! I always wish I could stay for a little longer... I guess that's what you get when you have a best friend who lives in a different country! To be honest, I'm pretty amazed at our friendship. We have only really been in the same country in the first two years of our friendship. Then she moved back to Malaysia. But luckily for us, my dad's hometown is the same city that she lives in, so whenever I went back for holidays, I was able to meet up with her! It's fair to say that our friendship has been through a lot, through the good times and the bad times, and no matter what has happened, we always got through them. I believe that our friendship will last :) Despite our jokes and teasing towards one another, we were always the pillars of support for each other. We would always bring the best out of each other. I mean, we would always try to convince each other to do stupid things :P But we also try to convince each other to do the things that scare us, but at the same time, benefit us.

To those who have a true friend in their lives - keep them close to your hearts. It is difficult to find a friend who is sincere to you. Even if your friend is living down the street from you, or in another country like Evon and I, distance is not a problem if both are true friends to each other :)

I am the most lucky girl on earth because I managed to find you over the billions of people.

Summer Part I: Greece

Weeeell. I'm back in Singapore now!

The first part of my summer is, sadly, over :( It was truly an amazing experience for me! Being able to spend six weeks in another country for an internship, meeting new people and trying new things. I will cherish these precious memories <3

By the port :D

The AIESEC interns in Chios!

Karfas
The beaches at Chios are BEAUTIFUL <3 The waters are so blue and clear!

Maura Volia (The Black Beach)
This is my favourite beach, because it looks so cool with its black pebbles :D Plus, the water at this beach is so clear, that after swimming out to the sea where my feet can no longer touch the bottom, I can still see the rocks at the bottom very clearly

Sunset at one of the beaches XD Can't remember which one this is haha

Komi Beach
This beach is apparently the party beach during the weekend :P

The city of Chios :)
A view from the mountains

My friend and I decided to bike up the mountain :P

One of the few times that I stayed out so late that I could watch the sunrise <3

Pyrgi village

This incredible village has buildings and houses that are covered with amazing patterns - that are all carved on, not painted on!

Mesta - a village-castle :P

We went to the number 1 suggestion on Trip Advisor, to try the traditional Greek donuts at 'Kanellos' in Mesta. They were DELICIOUS. They were served warm, and with cinnamon, chocolate and honey with mastic (you can choose which topping you want). They were crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside. As you can tell, my friend could not wait until I have finished taking a picture, and had started eating those donuts! XD

Ah, souvlaki :) One of my favourite Greek food. It's a popular Greek fast food, and is served either on a skewer, or in a pita sandwich (like so). It is cheap, filling, and delicious :D

Ah yes, that one time that my friend and I decided to splurge on some seafood :P He didn't think it was worth the money, I thought it was okay because I quite like these dishes! It was definitely quite expensive though.
We had fried shrimps, grilled swordfish, fried squid, and... some rice wrapped in vegetable thingy :P

Last but not least, these are the amazing people that I have met in Chios <3 The girls are the AIESEC members in the University of Aegean, Chios, and the two guys are the other EPs - one from America, and one from Egypt. I had a lot of fun with these seven amazing individuals over the past 6 weeks, and I really do hope that I can meet them again someday :)
